The Easten Festival of Music (EFM) is back at Guilford College! The reimagined festival will begin on Sunday, May 3 at 4 p.m. with a FREE Community Chamber Music Concert at Dana Auditorium (710 Levi Coffin Dr) on the Guilford College campus.
Sunday’s concert will feature three fantastic musicians - Julian Schwarz, cello, Marika Bournaki, piano, and Anthony Taylor, clarinet. EFM Music Director Gerard Schwarz will also be present to talk about the upcoming season that will feature 35 performances from June 30 through August 1 and include 225 students from around the world who were selected from more than 1,000 applicants.
"I am so excited to be together on May 3rd at our acoustically superb Dana Auditorium to announce the 2026 EFM season and to share some wonderful chamber music played by three of our outstanding EFM faculty,” said Gerard Schwarz. “It is so exciting to announce the realization of all the hard work from our board president, Barbara Morgenstern, members of our EFM board, EFM Faculty Artists, Guilford College, and the greater Triad community to bring a great educational and musically artistic festival once again to Greensboro."
Earlier this week a new partnership between EFM and the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts was announced to help expand visibility for the region’s beloved classical music festival as it enters a new era.
